Our family has had this 120 cm x 180 cm Swedish with us ever since my dad moved to the Netherlands to live with my mom. I'm pretty sure my mom's the one who bought it tho. probably to make my dad feel more at home in this (for him) foreign country. We pulled out the flag every Eurovision and every EK/WK soccer game that Sweden was in. When me and my sister graduated, my mum hung it out together with our much smaller Dutch flag. The swedish flag was so much bigger that it drowned out the (in comparison) tiny Dutch flag

This year, when I moved out, I took the Swedish flag with me. I think I did it for the same reason my mom got it for my dad. To make myself feel more at home while I'm on my own.
